Wow , custom direct fit windows at that price ... Man I would jump all over that . I spent a little over 1100 to replace 7 windows. But I did all the work myself.

Have you ever paid home depot to preform work in your house ?

Nope. Home Depot's never been here, I've just spent a lot of time there.

When I got my 600 back at closing I spent probably right around 400 of it at HD, tile flooring, light bulbs, insulation, lawn mower, mop, bucket, brooms, rakes, hoses, etc.

Well just some advice. Dont ever use HD to preform work for you. To be honest with ya. I think there crooks. I do alot of sub work for them and I appreciate the business. From what the customers have told me what they were charged for some of the kitchen and bathroom jobs. Is crazy . If I charge them 175 bux to hook up a Dish washer. You'll get charged 350 . If I charge HD 3500 for a kitchen remodel , you'll pay 5000 just for labor. Hell if you can go with a General Contractor then do so. Also a turn key contractor is the way to go .

I am sure your just like me . Do it yourself !!!

Yeah the thought never crossed my mind to use them except to go pick up supplies. With my dad being an ex electrician and plumber we've done all the work ourselves.

more thread jack- when we moved in to our current house I bitched enough that they replaced the whole carpet b/c of pee smell. When we first did a walk through, they were painting, so we couldn't smell any pee, btu when they gave us the key to move in, the amonia reek was so overwhelming that you had to sit down not to pass out. I told them they had 2 days to replace it or I was bailing. They did...hehe

Yeah well thats a good enough reason to take them to court over it, I dont think they had a choice but replace that nasty piss infested carpet. But even with a paint smell, you can still smell the piss. If it was that bad .
