Default Windows.

So I got a call back. I only had the guy measure up two sets of windows. The two without panes of glass in them are the ones I want taken care of first.

The downstairs windows in the dining room;

They're about 440.xx a piece to have redone with double pane glass windows.

The ones in the spare rooms are slightly more expensive. I have the prices in my voicemail.

Honestly I can get simple single pane windows for 200 installed, but why bother? They help, but they're not as efficient, and may not last as long.

Hey 440 a piece isnt a bad price at all , IMO .

Are they water stains on the floor in the corner?

Pee stains. When I got the house the entire main floor was carpeted, one of the previous owners had at least 3 dogs, cats, ferrets, etc.

The floor at the bottom of the stairs going up to the second story is especially bad. The pee came dripping out when I pulled the carpet and padding up.

I never got around to getting the sander to get it cleaned up.

i hate pets in the house for this very reason. they ruin everything

anyhoo, 400 isn't too bad for a double-pane like that.

Ah man , nothing worse than pee stained hard wood. Youll never get it to look right again. Its something in there piss that just kills wood for stain. I would replace the wood thats stained. If you just sand and finish it, the spots will still be visible.

I cant believe people that lived there before didnt mind the pee odor rounchin smell.

I can't believe it either... it still reeks in the basement. I'm going to give the sanding a try and see how good I can get it.

Animal pee smell is the hardest to get rid of, without replacing every thing.

Good luck on the sanding... I would try to go back with a slightly darker stain in the that room to try and blend it.

That's what I'm hoping for. I really don't want to recarpet it because I do want to get either a puppy or a kitten one of these days.

Are they direct replacements or new constructions? If they are direct replacements, they aren't a bad price... Because they are custom made, and you won't have to worry about removing any drywall or siding to install them... They take about 10 minutes to install...

They should be custom direct fit replacements.

He took some rough measurements and drew up some pricing for the 4 windows he looked at.
