Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Well I spent all day yesterday blowing in insulation. I did it above my garage and dinning room. Above my dinning room I had a little insulation but above my garage there was nothing so I blew in 15+ inches. Well My garage is very cold and I want it to be a little bit warmer. I knew the blow in insulation would only do a little bit since the garage door is not insulated. The garge door is brand new and it came with the house. I work for a metal shop and I can easily get white thin sheets of aluminum and Icould put tome R-13 inside the door and cover it up with thenew panels. I am concerned about adding weight to the 7'X7" garage door and throwing it off balance. The opener is brand new and I installed that. It is a 1/2 horsepower. I will have to pay for the aluminum since will need more than a full 4x8 sheet. They would take this out of my pay check and only charge me cost. If I did this would R-13 be best or is there a better option? |

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | Yeah, get the prefab foam panels and just attach them with Liquid Nails or something of the like... |
