Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Update: We decided to hold off on placing the offer last night as the wife was not quite sure (she wants to look at a few more tomorrw) and I don't want to force her into anything. So after we look at a couple more tomorrow we will most likely be writing an offer. As for the rates I am looking at 6.379 for the rate right now and my lender said that we could probably negotiate that down a little after we have an accepted offer. It is a 30 year fixed so I am set with closing costs at about 1500.00 or so. |

my closing costs were $8,xxx. Well, actually, they were 12,000, but i made 3 grand on the sale of my condo, so it put me down to 8 and change. you have to pay the local taxes on it up front (your area may differ), the lawyers fees, all the title search, title security, etc etc etc.

Rep Power: 10 ![]() | i think its normal. i paid that when i bought my condo too, and that was a different mortgage firm, and even without that 2400, its still a huge jump from 1500 bucks.
