Rep Power: 10 ![]() | What's the best way to do this? I figure there's about 3/4 to 1" of space between the back of the john and the wall. no roller is getting in there. what do you guys do? pull the toilet? wrap the toilet in drop cloths and use a brush? I'm going to be painting my bathroom soon, and i thought about that today. i never painted a bathroom before...

I just painted as close as I could get but I'm replacing the toilet soon so I'll just paint that spot at the same time.

Rep Power: 10 ![]() | Well that doesn't help me My toilet is fine and not getting replaced, so i don't want to get it all painted up. Plus, i'm going from an orangey tan to a slate-ish gray

| jeef | Mini roller. They are very small in diameter. Go with a thin nap and it should fit back there. http://www.acehardwareoutlet.com/(hn1wpyu2rqsosx55022jw3aq)/LargeImage.aspx?SKU=998015069&Image=998015069_0920 07_.jpg Like this should work. The thin nap will give you the clearance and not be as drippy. |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Take the toilet top off - its easy as hell to do: 1 - Turn water off at wall. 2 - Flush toilet to remove water in tank 3 - get some towels on the floor 4 - Unscrew the braided line going into the tank (should have thumb grips already, if not, get some channel locks) 5 - Depending on the toilet - there will be two screws that go into the tank (from the bottom). Most of these are phillips head screws - simply unscrew 6 - Lift tank off base 7 - Paint 8 - Reverse steps for assembly
