Rep Power: 2 ![]() | this past Saturday. Found this great contractor right down the street from me. Been in business over 20 years, doesn't subcontract his work and come to find out is a friend of the family. Here's the gist of whats being done: · Rip and Remove o Aluminum Siding· Install o 5/8” Foam InsulationAll for the tune of 9k out the door including debris removal. I bartered with him to for this work and in exchange of 9k and a website for his business... He and his crew starts the end of April. We also purchased a new front door and sidelight which is getting installed in approximately 4 weeks (before the siding). Pic for reference (gable area is the "bump out" with the window and shutters. This section will all be in vinyl "cape code shingles.": ![]()

| jeef | I am surprised you aren't doing this yourself. I heard hanging vinyl siding isn't that hard to hang. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | It isn't. But I want to enjoy my summer ![]() I have too many plans and not enough time to do them. I'm currently renovating the back room into a family room so thats taking up my time. After that its outdoors stuff (finishing trim work on the deck) and then onto a new Laundry room and then on to the first bathroom. After that it'll probably be the front porch. I have no time for siding. lol

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | any paticular reason you didn't do tyveck(sp?)? The reason I ask is I'm looking to get rid of the aluminum siding and replace with insulation and vinyl siding. Also in for updates. |
