| jeef | I am thinking about buying my mom's house. There is no garage on the house now. I really want a garage. Right now I don't care if it is attached or not. If its not that much more I can add a small mud room inbetween when the garage is built. For a basic 2 car garage, I don't know what kind of dimensions I want yet but it has to be big enough to fit a Chevy Silverado 2500 extended cab ( I don't have this truck but who knows in the future so if this fits most anything I buy will fit. ) I don't need the whole garage finished by someone I can do a lot of the finish work if its a cost saver. Are there any websites that will give an approixmate of what it should cost by sq ft? I will need a floor put in and it built from there. I can probably afford 20-30k for this. Hopefully it will be enough. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | You're right in the ballpark. My father is building a detached two car 20x24 at right around 20k without sheetrock inside. All wiring, etc. included.
