Default fixed the shed... for now

The past week we've had some windy days.... sustained 50mph gusts for 3 days on and off.

Well, the shed took a beating. the front right corner of the roof ripped off.

After finding the shingles in my neighbor's yard, I proceded to patch the roof back up.

I did a piss-poor job.... but it was only because after getting up there and looking at it, the whole damn thing needs to be re-roofed. There's gaps in the shingles

Code:

like, say that's a shingle with the 3 slits in the bottom half... the next row over it isn't all the way up (half the shingle) leaving the slit exposed at the top of it.

So, i just said F it, banged a few nails into the shingles that fell off and called it a day.

summer project = re-roof the shed

Just reroofed mine on Saturday. I'll take pics. Took about 2 hours including new sheathing (termite damage). $88 bucks total for rip and replace.

For yours it'd take 5 hours max and no more than 200 bucks in materials assuming the sheething is okay.

sheathing = plywood (or OSB; oriented strand board).
