I am currently concidering removing an old run down shed from the back of my property. I assume I need a permit to do it. In getting this permit, will this reflect in my taxes (as I am taxed on it), or do I have to foward to my tax office?

It would be best to call your town. Permits differ from town/county/state. I wouldn't think you would need a permit to tear it down, just to build.
