Rep Power: 10 ![]() | F&%^ ME! just got my options for the upcoming winter. I paid 2.59 /gal last year. This year, my options range from 4.59 for pre-paid to 4.89. holy crap. A) pre-pay, 500/750/1000 gallon options @ 4.59 in cash up front B) market price with cap at 4.79 (plus 10-cent discount for 10day pay, so 4.69 max price). Requires $250 enrollment fee. ![]() C) fixed price budget + service plan @ 4.89, includes service contract (need to find out more on what this includes) D) market rate, whatever it happens to be on the day they come to deliver. i'd love to pre-pay, but writing a check for 3 grand right now kinda sucks.... and thats only for 500 gallons. i'll probably use 7-800 ish. If i go over the 500 that i buy, the rest is served at market rate.... whatever that may be. I'm leaning towards plan B..... and a pellet stove installation or something.

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | wait... you have the cash to write a 3 grand check? Lucky fuck. Anyway, B sounds like the best option, B.

Rep Power: 10 ![]() | yeah, i'm leaning towards B as well. the $250 fee is BS though. Supposedly, they use that money to 'secure' oil at that cost to guarantee pricing for the season.

| jeef | Becareful with the pellet stove. I know someone with oil heat that had their pipes freeze because they were using their woodburning stove instead of the oil. |

Rep Power: 10 ![]() | i will keep the oil on 55 most likely anyway. the pellet will be an additional source, not a primary. my hot water is on my boiler/furnace anyway, so it has to be on
