Default my project: front yard

when we bought the house the yard was dead, 3 months later the city came in and tore up the front yard putting in our new irrigation lines from the canal water. im changing the lay out of the yard by making the driveway larger and making some "lines" on the property to section things off. my first chore is the front yard its rough...heres some pics of how it is currently. i will update when i get the landscaping done and the water on it.

i dont have a well, most people i know around me do not either. we have city water, which is too expensive to water the yard with...and just this year got canal water ran to the house. the city tore the shit out of my yard to install it but it was worth it for the water rights. when we move out to the country in the next few years i will have a well dug and what not, but with this house im trying to upgrade w/o dumping too much into it. we may sell the house eventually, but i want to keep it as a rental untilthe right price comes my way.

did some bordering between the neighbors house and my yard as well as layed out a nice border for our drive way. im using railroad ties because i had a lot of them here after redesigning the previous owners layout.

the yard is sprouting grass and its looking a ton better...ill have pics as soon as my digi cam batteries recharge.
