Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Since I have no storage and absolutely no where to put expensive building materials. I had to leave 5 pc of 4x8x1" birch in the rain cuz I had nothing to cover it nor a place to put it. So I getting a shed. Well its being called a Garage for County Purpose. My back yard slopes about 1/2" per Foot. So I graded down to solid soil, boxed in the pad, and ordered 16ton of fill dirt. The dirt came and we leveled all that nice goodness down and stamped it. Ordered 16 ton of #52 granite and we got most of it leveled. Just waiting on some time from work to free up to finish grading the rock and pour the pad. On to the pics. Of my hard work and sweating, cussing, complaining that I had no labors shovel magic ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My Right hand man Ken. 43 years old and works harder than 20 year olds. ![]() ![]() ![]() We went to lunch and came back, saw this and we both about feel out (he did for sure) ![]() ![]() Look what we found. ![]() On to the gravel ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This is were I am at, other than re straighting the form. Added extra bracing as well. Whats sad, is that this was all done by hand. Mine and Ken's hands. Yesterday I got Labor's for 50 dollars a day. Worked 10 hours and didnt stop. Tisk tisk. |

The building I am getting installed is a Metal Detachable garage. 18x21x15 The garage cost around 3999.99 installed. Still waiting on the building permit to come so I can pour the concrete. I want to put a drain in the center of the pad before I pour it. If I have time I will. If not, owell. |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | So I got the permit on Monday, and I started back on this project. Poured the Concrete and I just finished troweling. Yes my back hurts, yes I did all the finish troweling. I was trying to teach and employee of mine how to pour concrete and finish it. Mainly because of the next addition were doing involves a 30x39' pad for a pole barn. And I think were going to sub it out. I will warn anyone who doesnt know about pouring concrete. Its heavy and hard work. On to the PICS ! ![]() ![]() His practice corner...lol ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry it was dark outside when I finally finished my bicep exercises. You can still see the fresh marks. Looks like a freshly painted wall, 1/2 way dried. But all smooth. I will get better pics in the morning once the concrete is dried. ![]() ![]() |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | If you mean thick as in the pad, the pad is no more than 4-5" thick. |
