Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Well maybe I have it backwards. I will look into it later. But depending on where you live has alot to do with it. Shingles will still attract heat in the winter and get pretty hot. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | In the middle of winter, I have climbed into my attic, and I would say if the inside of the house was 72, and the outside was 34, the attic would be around 40-45 in my house... A fairly decently insulated house, 30 yr architectural shingles, Vents on the overhangs, and 1 vent on each side of the house... |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | More and more houses are being built with them, or ridge vent. I guess it all depends on where you live. Round here , there almost famous. I am going to just install ridge vent when my shingles arrive. |
