Default new living room set

Well, it's been a year with no furniture in here, so i said screw it and went to the pit. The pit is the scratch and dent bin at a local furniture store.

I found a matching sofa and loveseat in mint condition (fabric), but the electric recliners in them don't work. No biggie for me... i'm not much of a recliner anyway.... Plus, i bet it's an easy fix. If i ever get motivated, i might take the motor apart, or just screw in a regular manual lounge handle.

I also scored a coffee table and 2 matching end tables. They are a little dinged up, but you can't even tell from 5 feet away. Good enough for me.

I also installed my fake logs in my pellet stove.

I paid $850 for the entire set. 699 for the couch combo and 100 for the coffee and end tables, and 50-ish in tax Can't beat that with a stick

Place is starting to shape up

i'm thinking replace the mirror over the stove with a 42" plasma in the future. it doesn't get too hot above it beleive it or not... it all shorts forward and out towards the room. should work just fine. problem is getting the cable and power outlet up there :X

lmao can't beat that at all. they look good.

I have nothing matching in my living room but I can't beat a dual reclining couch for free along with my loveseat with a pullout bed and a matching foot stool for free as well.

The only piece of furniture I've paid for is my tv stand and my Vrocker gamer chair.

yep, my first set of couches (currently in my tv room) are 2nd hand as well. Can't beat free! But, i wanted something matchign here, as this is a more 'formal' room than the tv room.

One of these days I'll end up upgrading to a nice matching set.

When I lived with my brother my couch spent 8 months in his garage, which is where the dogs were kept all day. The little shit cocker spaniel they have chewed a hole in one of the cushions of it.

What kind of 42" plasma are you looking at? Make sure you shop around for one, I got my 1200 dollar tv for 900.

B give tweeter a try for the new tv. I went there for mine and was much happier than going with best buy or cc.
