Default New dishwasher time.

After two years of listening to my pos Americana (made by GE) that came with the house. I finally decided to buy a new one. I could not deal with it any longer. It was my first time putting a dishwasher in. It seemed pretty simple. Taking my old one out was very easy.

Putting the new one in was a little bit harder. Since this one was in actuality bigger (bulkier) It took a little time to get it in. I also made a mistake. My old dishwasher used a 1 1/2" hole through the caninet for the drain, water line and electric. Since You could connect all of those after the dishwasher was in place. The new one had to be connected to the unit and then slid in. So I had to push it then pull the hoses then push some more... I should have drilled another hole so I did not have to fight so hard with it.

I paid 530 for it. It was originally 600 but my friend got me a discount.
I figure there is no reason to go into a diy on how i did it since it was so easy. I just wanted to share. I wish I would have bought one when I first bought the house. Since i bought a fridge and stove. I could have bought the dishwasher and a new micro and got it all in stainless.

I am glad to see that POS American go. I put it up on craigslist for $25. I Sold it with in ten minutes of posting it. It works fine it is just too damn loud.

Buy me one too? Looks good man, I'm not looking forward to putting in a new one whenever I get around to it.

Speaking of dishwashers whats a good site to compare them on? My Maytag is fucking loud and sounds like its on its way out.
