Default Dryer Duct

Can a dryer duct run down hill? I assume it does not make a difference but I am not sure.

i don't see why not... its just water in the form of steam/gas that needs to be released outside....

at my condo, my duct went WAY up, as my basement was well underground.
at my house, my vent is ankle-level to the dryer, basically running straight out the back of the dryer to outside.
