Default pneumatic nailers

So, I'm thinking of buying a pneumatic nailer. I see both Dewalt and Ridgid are priced very close to each other for this range of product.

Ridgid $109 , 18GA brad nailer
RIDGID 2 1/8 In. Brad Nailer - R213BNA at The Home Depot

Ridgid $169.00, 16GA finish nailer
RIDGID Pneumatic 2-1/2 In. Finish Nail - R250SFA at The Home Depot

DeWalt $99-- 18GA finish nailer
DeWalt at Lowe's: 2.8-lb. Finishing Pneumatic Nailer

DeWalt $159 ,16GA Finish nailer.
DeWalt at Lowe's: 3.9-lb. Finishing Pneumatic Nailer

Basically I be using this for doing trim work. Can anyone lend a helping hand in deciding which product to purchase, pneumatics tools are all new to me as I just got a compressor

How much trim work are you doing? I actually bought 3 of the 49.99 dollar ones from Harbor Freight three years ago and they have done fairly well. I use them in my Freshman Industrial Tech class when the kids are building model houses and they have held up fairly well over the years. The only problem I have had was that the driver broke on a couple of them after some serious use (every day all day for about 4 months out of the year). The come with a spare driver and o-rings so fixing them was easy.

Just my .02 if you aren't going to use them professionally. If you are I would reccommend either a stanley bostitch or a porter cable modle as I have never had an issue with them - EVER.

Just remember to keep any nailer/brad nailer oiled. I put in a drop or two everytime I hook them up to the hose.

here is the one I have three of:

I suggest going to HD and buying one of the porter cable kits for 299. 1 3/8 a8 guage brad nailer + 2 1/2 16 guage finish nailer+ Narrow crown stapler and a 6 gallon Compressor.
I have that kit. But mine came with a headless pinner. still for 299. Day after thanksgiving.
The tools are oil free except the headless pinner.

I bought it for the compressor, stapler and the headless pinner. I gave the headless pinner to my dad for x-mas.

I already had the ridgid finish nailer and the dewalt brad nailer. Both good guns. You cant go wrong it is just brand preference.
