Rep Power: 5 ![]() | I've been pounding on the house super hard since I got back from my Japan trip back around June 28th... Then I've pounded harder on it to clean it up for a car meet that I had last week.... on August 25th... for the last week...my body has been in shutdown mode.... Got nothing done but click all day and night on the internet and chug beers rapidly...Finally today...I got back to pounding on the shed...re-plumbed a door that the kid I hired installed and it never closed right...but after taking it apart...completely...trim here and there for an hour or so...it finally goes in and closes smooth and locks properly. ![]() I think it's mostly mental....if I want the work done...I'm doing it...if there is nobody to impress by the work I do...then I find it a waste of time. I want the stuff that I build...but not bad enough get it done right away....but yet, I want to throw meets and parties to invite the same people to show up...so I can show off what I accomplished...so the work done actually looks like an accomplishment. ![]() Granted...all the work I'm doing to the house and the property is drastically increasing the re-sale value, but for the time being...I'm the only one who really enjoys it. And I can't really enjoy it till it's done... So I want to get more done....but then the body goes limp and dead from the stress, work, and running around doing other things. I might have too many projects going on at once...but every time something gets done...then I look at it and I want it better.....and the project never gets done. Just like the door....I tore it all apart so it closes nearly perfect....while it was just a tad bit off that it could have remained in that condition for a while. And then I have the job and the cars to deal with. When they offer the OT...I'm at work...like this labor day weekend...I'm working it...granted the money is stupid great, and that will pay off more bills and get me some bank for the next two weeks...So I kinda dipped into funds and bought a shit load of tires and wheels so I can add them to my collection and actually participate in one drift event two weeks from now... But that also includes that I have to now prep a car, get the tires on the wheels, pack up the tools and get all set to waste a day burning rubber...and the house projects wont get done while the weather is nearly perfect to do hardcore shit to the house. I guess my work to fun ratio is about 95/5... work 95% of the time and really enjoy life 5%. ![]() Ohh...I also love to rant And it helps |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | I felt semi useless on Friday after I wrecked my work truck at 7:35 am... I did one whopping job and spent most of the day trying to get our older truck started, then eventually had it towed. I didn't even eat lunch until 3. At four I had to go back to the office and get my tools out of Bobby's Windstar then trek all the way out to Glenbrook to find out why a fax wasn't working. I just wish people would stop being lazy. It's not THAT hard to check your own line cords... is it? I mean this particular place is a pet store, and they said they had a rat in the backroom under the desk. Guess where the line was chewed through? lol But hell yeah, 3 day weekend for me. I spent Saturday here, except going back to glenbrook to drop off a card for my brother, then went golfing this morning with my dad.
