Rep Power: 5 ![]() | What do I hook up and to where? I ordered the drywall for my bathroom and I'm gonna go pick it up soon, but I need to get the outlets and switches moved into the new boxes first. Exactly how do those get hooked up? I haven't looked at the old ones. Hot, cold and ground I know... but I hate electricity and I want to do it right the first time. Also, is it a good idea to wrap everything with electrical tape just to be on the safe side for now? I won't put my covers on until everything is painted which could be next year.

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Heres a link that can expain it better than I can, plus it has pics!! Its simple!! Just make sure the breaker is off and no current is in the line. If you did something backwards. Just kill the breaker and switch sides on the switches. Recepticles go white wire to silver side and black wire to brass side. Off course ground to green How to Install Electrical Wiring | DoItYourself.com Electrical tape can be your best friend !! I wrap all of my customers wiring, just to be on the safe side. Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Just dont overload the breaker. Check out if it is 15,20,30 amp breaker. Might trip some breakers if it is overloaded. If it does, step up the breaker. Good luck |
