Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I live in one of those neighborhoods where all the houses look the same and are like 10 feet away from each other. To make mine look different, I decided to lay some tile out on my porch. Neighbors say it looks ok, wife hates it, I think the neighbors are just being nice. What do you think? Before: ![]() After... well kinda... still not done yet: ![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, and I've never done tile before, I have always paid someone else to do it, that's why it kinda looks like crap with the uneven grout and lines. |

Rep Power: 10 ![]() | i like it. doesn't really stand out any more though. i had to look back and forth a couple times to see what you were even talking about. i'd get rid of that tree by the stairs and put something smaller in there |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | ehhh... not sure how I like it... And looks like it would be VERY slippery in the rain... I agree with ditch the tree though... Maybe some smaller shrubs/bushes to cover the foundation? I know you just put down all of that tile, but what about some sort of rock/brick instead of tile for the stairs? And man... They poured the stairs with the foundation??? wow... |

On another note. I kinda like the tile. You did a pretty good job. I dont think stone would have looked good , do to the amount of stone already on the house. Granite tile FTW !! | |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I bet it is very slippery. I would gone with more of a rough stone. Maybe a river stone.
