without knowing your market, its hard to say what to offer.

the kitchen looks incredibly out of date...
and that court yard kinda looks like a prison yard....

so keep those things in mind when making an offer.

If this is the first house you are going to look at, you probably want to go look at 10 more before even thinking about submitting an offer.

the 2nd one, is just weird...

Go to zillow.com and type in the address and see if the values of homes in that area seem within reason...

Also, some places will actually list home purchases in the local papers, so you can look at that...

Or go to the city/town and you can sometimes ask for previous deeds of houses to find what they sold for previously...

well, its not the shittiest neighborhood... just not the prettiest.. we'll probably look elsewhere .. she has some say in it since the loan will be in her name (my credit is horrible and we'll end up married anyways).. once we get it i'll put my name on it..

well, i went and checked out the houses.. #3 and 4 are a no-go.. bad areas... especially #3 (drive by ghetto )...

house #1 i really like the lay out of the house, but it'd need some work to the inside.. the hardwood floors are shot but it has new paint inside and new tile in the kitchen.. it could use some new windows eventually.. it doesnt have a stove either.. and if you look at the pic, thats the driveway on the right.. it goes all the way back.. all those bushes along the side of the house would be ripped out so i could drive back to the garage.. the backyard also needs some work.. but doable... this one is definitely a possibility..

house #2 is pretty nice, except one part.. in the kitchen its torn apart.. showing the frame in half and the ceiling, so this one is out.. but the rest of the house i like... .. oh well..

we're gonna check out some tomorrow morning too..
