Rep Power: 2 ![]() | All, Since the remodel upstairs and removal of the tub to make way for the stand up shower, and since, well, we've always wanted one. I am going to take on the task of adding a triangular jacuzzi tub in my basement bathroom. I have a few options to take on here. First in the picture below, there is about 4 more feet behind where i am standing so the bathroom is quite long. Next, being as i want a triangular tub, the closet in said picture will probably need to be removed to allow the tub to wrap the wall and still have enough room to use the shitter. So here are a few of my questions: 1) anyone have any tips on installing a jacuzzi tub? I know i'll have to relocate the tubs incoming water, in the tub itself more than likely i will need to build the tub up on a stand so that i can run the drain plumbing to the existing drain that is sunk into a the concrete floor. 2) any way in hell i can move the toilet down from its current location. the drain as above is right in the concrete floor. 3) Is this something a guy like myself can take on? 4) how would you build the stand for the tub Really im just looking for feed back i probably wont be doing this until spring but we have some wise people here so lay it on me. |

To answer your questions: 1) Patience and careful planning 2) You'd have to dig up the concrete and relocate. 3) Depends on your ambition 4) 2x4 construction, double 3/4ply for the base
